Drink more tea

Here’s a new track with a nice backstory.

Dylan gained special access to a fantastic archive of 20 year old DAT recordings from remote villages in China on condition that he promote Chinese tea culture. The track came out beautifully and there’s some real heavy hitters on the remix tip. Dylan also scored rare high grade tea for promotional giveaways.

Dylan thinks I don’t like his music since I seldom include his songs in my dj sets. Of course I love Dylan and I love his music, but he doesn’t get handicap points just because we’re married. I’m still impartially discerning and ruthlessly selective with all my music choices. “More Tea” makes the cut and the remixes are lush.

Dance Bitch

The title track from Sad Dance Songs, A Rick and Morty concept album by Allie Goertz. The album contains five tracks with references and samples from the show. With this project, Goertz sought to match the “beauty, darkness, and lunacy” of Rick and Morty. Sad Dance Songs features synth-heavy dance tracks accompanied by ethereal melancholy vocals. It goes without saying that I love this.

Do You Feel It?

Rain

Strength comes from learning to control your emotions, which is not the same as ignoring what you feel or pretending your feelings aren’t real. If an emotion can’t change conditions or improve the situation, the emotion isn’t useful. Your emotions in fact are often destructive, but you have the right to feel what you feel. No one said you can’t ever cry. It’s okay to be angry, upset or discouraged, but it’s not okay to quit, because in life it doesn’t matter what happens to you, or who is to blame for all the problems, setbacks and mistakes. What matters is what you do with what happens, what matters is how you deal with what you’ve been dealt, what matters is not what you feel, but how you handle yourself.

This one’s pretty much “for the ladies.” To all the electronic girls I’ve loved before et cetera. Listeners whose vaginas are more metaphorical in nature should I think find this set for them as well and equally pleasing. That previous Dancehall mix took me a million days to make. This set took me two days. Guess that’s what happens when “pleasing the musical vagina” is the Modus Operandi. This mix is everything a classic vagina should appreciate.

The “long-awaited” companion piece to my Secret Girlfriends set. The two are hardly analogous save for the naming. I’ve actually no singular ideas as to whatever may have been my theme or method here. Maybe it’s what I would play or like if I was a boy and a DJ. A nicer version of the set I played at the Rainbow Serpent Gathering Urban Day Party in Melbourne.

This was my last gig in Australia and also my final performance as Pr.incest. I’m changing my dj name because Pr.incest is too misspelled, mispronounced and misunderstood. Now I am NIGHT NURSE. With Dylan I am still RACE TRAITOR. My three side solo projects are Womb Like Ox, Platypussy and Hellvetica. This set represents my usual attempt to “bring the ladies to the dancefloor” by a tender combination of melody, texture and beauty to soften the violence.
